Ginkgo Coffee House is an old soul coffee place: It feels and looks old, but the atmosphere and brews feel alive. Ginkgo is located on one of the busiest streets in St. Paul, in an old neighborhood that offers a healthy mix of residential and light commerce buildings.

In addition to the various coffee drink options, Ginkgo serves breakfast and lunch with bagels and pastries.

Ginkgo is a spacious establishment with booths and tables and bar stools. There’s a piano in the corner where numerous players entertain during the day. Additionally, there are group of guitar and mandolin players who perform throughout the week.

Ginkgo offers outdoor seating in the summer months and it is often humming with patrons.

I take pride in making macchiato a popular drink at Ginkgo and I even “converted” a few regulars to switch to it.
